What are the best American flag sunglasses? We tried out a dozen different pairs to find the best to recommend—vintage, aviator, mirrored and more. We found some were best for costumes while others were fine for outdoor celebrations. Here are the ones we'd recommend.

FYI: Since 1994, we've been rating and reviewing products for families, children and then home. Good news: we don't take money or freebies from the brands we review. That helps keep our reviews independent. Our work is 100% reader-supported.

Best Vintage American Flag Sunglasses: grinderPunch 2 Pairs Bulk American Sunglasses USA Flag

For holidays or costumes, we thought these glasses were a best bet. Nothing fancy, non-polarized but look good with that “vintage” or “80’s classic” style.

What We Liked

• Lightweight.

• Looked sharp.

What Needs Work

• Not designed to last forever. These glasses have plastic lenses and frames—they are fun for special events or costumes, but not designed to be durable for the long run!

Best Aviator American Flag Sunglasses: Goson American Flag Mirror Novelty Decorative Sunglasses

This mirrored aviator-style sunglasses feature an imprinted American flag on the lenses. Liked the super cute look, but these are designed for pictures or costumes (not driving) since the flag printing is hard to see through.

What We Liked

• 100% UV protection (UV 400).

• Instagram ready!

• Shatter-resistant lenses.

• Not polarized.

• Spring flex hinge.

• Gold or silver frame.

What Needs Work

• Hard to see around the flag imprint. Yes, you can see—but these glasses are clearly designed for celebration pictures or costumes. We wouldn’t recommend for driving or other outdoor activities that require you to clearly see something (like a volleyball coming at you).

Best Budget-Friendly American Flag Sunglasses: American America USA Flag Sunglasses Patriotic Clear Frame

We thought these American flag sunglasses were easy on the wallet—three pairs with different lenses (black, blue or orange/red). One interesting feature: the stems have a transparent red stripe pattern. Since the frames are clear, they don’t look strictly like a flag . . . but still good looking!

What We Liked

• Affordable.

• Adjustable spring hinges.

• UV protection.

• 3 frames with 3 different color lenses.

• Non-polarized.

What Needs Work

• Transparent frames. When we tested out these glasses, folks either loved or hated this. The latter thought the transparent frame made it hard to see the flag pattern.

• Don’t look as good as other American flag sunglasses for pictures, in our opinion.

Best Combo Pack American Flag Sunglasses: grinderPunch 2 Pair Combo Patriotic American US Flag Sunglasses

If you can’t decide between aviator-style glasses and those in the 80’s retro-vintage style, this combo pack solves that problem!

What We Liked

• Not polarized.

• Easy on the wallet.

What Needs Work

• Avaitor style with printed flags are hard to see through. As we discussed earlier in this article, these sunglasses look great for pictures and social media . . . but they are hard to see out of. Hence, these glasses are great for costumes or Instagram, but not for driving or other outdoor uses when you need clear vision.
