What's the best fireplace TV stand? TV stands with built-in fireplaces combine a place for a TV with a "fireplace," which is a digital LCD screen and space heater. We spent 9 hours researching several brands of fireplace TV stands, starting by talking with our parent readers to find their favorites. Fireplace TV stands are great for houses with kids, since the digital fireplace is much safer than the real thing. We looked for best overall quality and ease of assembly. Here are the ones we'd recommend.

FYI: We've been reviewing and rating products for the home and families since 1994. To keep things independent, we don't take money or freebies from brands we review! Our work is 100% reader-supported!

Best Electric Fireplace TV Stand: Belleze Fireplace Television Stand Console

Before you purchase an electric fireplace TV stand, let’s go over a few tips we learned as we researched this topic (and heard from our parent readers).

First, all of these fireplace TV stands must be assembled—and typically that is a two-person job. It takes about one hour to assemble the average fireplace TV stand.

Second, measure your TV lengthwise BEFORE you make the purchase. Then compare the length to the top of the fireplace TV stand. This is important because some stands say they fit 50″ TV’s . . . but this can be hit or miss, as stands for TV’s can vary from model to model. So measure first!

Finally, if the fireplace TV stand you are purchasing has drawers and/or cabinet doors, put the hardware on first before you build the case. That makes it easier, as we learned!

For the best electric fireplace TV stand, we liked the farmhouse-inspired Belleze Fireplace Television Stand Console—excellent quality, nice look and easy to assemble. Plus the price is easy on the wallet.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

• Good bang for the buck.

• Sturdy.

• Realistic looking “fireplace” (digital LCD screen).

• Fireplace also operates as an infrared heat source.

• Remote control for fireplace!

• Farmhouse chic style.

• Affordable.

• Fits up to 50″ flat screen TV’s (always measure first, however.)

• Takes about an hour to assemble. Two persons are recommended. Tip: attach the cabinet hardware BEFORe assembling the whole unit! It’s easier that way.

• Adjustable shelves.

• Fireplace works with or without heat.

What Needs Work

• Shipping damage. This is acproblem with many TV fireplace stands, to be fair. That’s because these units often weigh 100 pounds or more. Our advice: open and inspect all the of the pieces immediately upon arrival. This stand is well-packed, but damage can still occur, unfortunately.

• Doesn’t work with larger TV’s. If you have a screen larger than 50″, we’d recommend our next fireplace TV stand pick.

Best Fireplace TV Stand 60"

90 minutes to assemble
For larger TV's, we'd recommend this stand—well designed, with multiple storage areas. Realistic fireplace comes with remote—and enough power to heat a room up to 400 square feet.

Best Small Fireplace TV Stand: Walker Edison Furniture Fireplace Stand

By small, we mean lower to the ground—this stand is 24″ high.  Most other stands are 28″ tall or taller. That might be too high for some larger TV’s . . . or in rooms where you don’t have as much headroom.

We also liked this brand, Walker Edison, for their overall quality and build construction. Our readers who purchased this fireplace TV stand told us they were more than happy with how easy it was to assemble—and the look of the final product.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

• Good directions; easy assembly.

• Solid construction.

• Fireplace can work with or without the heat function.

• Heaters can heat space up to 400 square feet.

• Glass fronted cabinets. That’s a nice upgrade over other models we researched.

• Holds up to 60″ TV’s.

What Needs Work

• A bit longer to assemble than others. While we thought the assembly was easy enough, total time is closer to two hours. That’s somewhat longer than other models.

Best Corner Fireplace TV stand: Walker Edison Tall Wood Corner Fireplace Stand for TV’s

If you need a fireplace TV stand that fits in a corner, we’d recommend Walker Edison’s Tall Wood Corner model—same great quality as the model we recommended above, just a more compact form.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

• Assembly is easy thanks to well-labeled pieces.

• Three shelves for storage.

• Glass front shelves.

• Realistic fireplace can work with or without heat function.

• Cable management system in back of unit is most  helpful.

What Needs Work

• No remote! That’s probably the biggest drawback of this model—the fireplace has no remote control. Yes, that means you have to walk up to the unit to turn it on/off or adjust the brightness.
