Price: $37 to $60.

Weight Range: 8 to 35 lbs.

Comments: Moby Wraps are one-size-fits-most carriers designed to allow moms to adjust the fit by how tight they wrap the baby. The wrap uses three sections of fabric for extra security. The lack of padding means its not bulky to wear or store.

Moby offers their Wrap in four fabric choices: the Classic ($45) is all cotton, the Organic ($50) is organic cotton, and the Evolution ($50) and Designs versions are a cotton and viscose blend. The Design Wrap has patterned fabric while the others come in solid colors (these seem to be available only on Moby’s web site).

You can expect some shrinkage when you wash the all-cotton Moby Wraps, although they add extra fabric to account for that. And for people who need more fabric (for dads and curvy moms) or less fabric (for petites), you can call Moby to order larger or smaller wraps.

A downside: it takes a bit of time to learn to use it, and even once you have it figured out, the Moby Wrap takes some time to put on–not fun when baby is screaming). Check out their videos and photo instructions on their web site for extra help. The Moby Wrap can be used for both front and back wearing. Parent reviews are very positive, with the exception of the learning curve.

New for 2018. Moby is debuting a new carrier: Moby Fit. This wrap-style carrier is pre-fitted and slips over your head like a t-shirt. It comes in sizes from petite to plus sizes and will sell for $55. It will be made from a new lighter weight stretchy fabric. Once it comes out, the Fit will have its own review on this site.
