Veteran bedding designer Patti Sumergrade, owner of Sumersault, has an eye for great design. The results are a whimsical bedding collection. We love the patterns and colors as well as the animals prints and graphics. The company also creates a variety of complimentary accessories like wall decals ($21).

A four-piece set retails for $50 to $100. Some four-piece sets still include bumpers, which we recommend parents avoid as they are a safety hazard. Look for the four-piece sets that don’t have bumpers but include a second sheet–we like those better.

Unfortunately, most of Sumersault’s sets are polyester/cotton blends–we prefer all cotton (at least for the sheet) as cotton is much more comfortable for most babies.

Sumersault crib bedding 10-piece

This 10-piece set runs $120 from $150.

Sumersault is now making sets to rival JoJo Designs with nine or ten pieces for $100 to $150 on Amazon  as well as other sites. While some sets include bumpers, we recommend sets like the one pictured to the right: it includes a comforter, two crib sheets, dust ruffle, blanket, diaper stacker, window valance and three wall hangings.  The feedback on these jumbo sets has been positive for the most part.

While we think Sumersault’s crib bedding is cute and very affordable, we’ve had to lower their rating this time around since the sheet fabric is now a poly/cotton blend. Rating: B-
