IKEA has two minimalistic high chairs offerings. The Antilop ($15; pictured) is a plastic chair with metal legs and safety belt . . . but doesn’t include a tray (that’s $5 extra) and doesn’t fold up. A support pillow with cover is available for an extra $6.
The Blames ($60) is a wood high chair with plastic tray.
These chairs are clearly designed for older kids, but the lack of a five-point harness (the “safety belt” doesn’t quite cut it) or other adjustments make these a hard sell. That said, readers have generally given good reviews to the Antilop—one mom said it was incredibly easy to clean and just the ticket for her twins. Rating: C+
