Crib Bedding brand review: Serena and Lily. The Serena and Lily web site is such a pleasure to visit. Calm not cluttered, sweet but not too babyish. The bedding sets have a clean, light, unfussy style. Unfortunately, the prices are in the stratosphere.

Serena and Lily sell their baby bedding a la carte. Fabrics are 100% cotton 300-count sateen or twill for most collections with some linen/cotton blends.

The collections are usually very striking graphic prints with uniquely designed bed skirts. Colors are mostly understated pastels in sophisticated color combinations. In past seasons, they often included at least a few sets with richer, brighter colors, but the recent collection is all muted with little drama.

Crib sheets run $38 to $50, crib skirts are $50, and blankets are $88 to $128 (we only found them on Serena & Lily’s web site or at independent baby stores). They also sell bumpers, which we do not recommend for safety reasons.

Bottom line: Serena and Lily’s Nursery Basics line is a beautiful, understated line that offers a simple, clean look for your nursery. We love the quality of the fabrics, but you’ll have to have some serious cash for this look. Rating: B+
