Like a horror flick when the axe-wielding bad guy
comes back from the dead for the 13th time, car seat maker Team Tex is back,
this time with a new brand: De Novo.

For
those not familiar with the Team Tex story: This company was formed by the
founder of Renolux, a French brand of car seats that floundered here in the
states in the early 90’s (ask your older friends). Team Tex first tried to
re-launch itself with booster seats in 2000 (most of which never shipped) before
forming an ill-fated partnership with Combi that lasted about 15
minutes.

So it was back to the drawing
board for Team Tex—their latest effort is De Novo that will sell a re-packaged
Victoria convertible seat (now the Satellite) for $125 as well as booster seats
and (some day) an infant car seat. Their most innovative product: the Baby
Mover, a Snap & Go like frame that weighs a mere 10 lbs. The Baby Mover will
sell for $149 (infant seat included).

De
Novo/Team Tex plans to ship these products by late 2009 2006.
