Ragazzi sent out an update to its dealers late today, announcing the company is switching factories and warning of possible delivery delays:
We take great care to ensure that important matters such as improving our products are properly implemented. As you know we have moved Ragazzi production to a new state-of-the-art factory which allows us to produce the finest juvenile furniture available, with outstanding packaging that will withstand the rigours of shipping. As always quality takes time and we are intent on getting it right for the long-term. We are working to improve our overall Ragazzi product line to develop a standard that will meet or exceed your expectations. It is for this reason that delivery has been delayed.
In light of this, we ask you to please be patient while we work on creating outstanding collections that we can be proud to offer to our customers. We still have Ragazzi products in inventory available for you to sell.
If you've ordered Ragazzi furniture, you might want to check in with your dealer regarding the delivery status. And if you are considering Ragazzi, you might want to wait until the dust has settled from their factory move. (Glitches are common when you switch factories).

I ordered a Ragazzi Etruria crib, dresser, and nightstand in mid-February and was told it would take 6-12 weeks (putting delivery at late March – late April). The baby store just called and said the crib has been delayed until late May – early June (I’m due June 14th). We’re going to be pushing it, but I really love the crib, so I’m willing to wait it out.

I ordered my Ragazzi furniture on January 10, 2010 and was told it would be delivered in April. I called last week and was told May, but then they switched it and said they could deliver this week. I got my furniture yesterday, but it was damaged. Make sure that when you get your furniture you inspect it really well. I love the furniture, but unfortunately need to get new and will take a while to get the furniture again.

I’m having a similar issue with Ragazzi and getting the run around. I ordered my set on feb 7th and was told I would receive in the first or second week of april. Since then, I have been told that I would receive 2 pieces at the end of april and the other two in the first week of June. Now, I have been told that they don’t know where the two pieces are and if they are even being delivered to me. The dealer is trying to get me to take Capretti instead…..please let me know if your situation was resolved and what you did to resolve it.
