While one collection (Jefferson) will be made in the USA, the other collections (Brunswick, Keyport and Portland) will be imported from Asia. Munire has slowly expanded its line in recent years, selling cribs under the Baby Cache name in Babies R Us. The Buy Buy Baby collections will be exclusive to the chain . . . while three collections (Brunswick, Keyport and Jefferson) will be in all stores, one (Portland) will only be available in the chain’s largest store markets. FYI: Munire’s Echelon brand will continue to be available at specialty stores.

My husband and I recently went to Buy Buy Baby and we really liked the Munire Jefferson model on display but it was already falling apart on the sales floor. That cant be a good sign right? Also I cant seem to find any detailed information regarding this crib on the Munire site or online- for a brand that is so well known they are not really doing much to show off their new line or give customers information beyond made in USA. Any thoughts on where more info can be found and why it is not being published?
Hi Irlina: Thanks for writing in. We do have an extensive review of Munire both in our book and under the “reviews” tab on our web site (for subscribers). However, we don’t review every single Munire model in our books/online—we give you a brand overview, detailed quality evaluation, etc.
Not sure why the crib you saw in the store was so beat up—but floor samples can take a beating. And sometimes a crib can be mis-assembled, giving you a false impression of how durable it would be. I assume this crib isn’t on Munire’s site yet because it is new and exclusive to BuyBuy!
Which Buy Buy BABY did you visit? I just ordered it and my local store in DE had a gorgeous display!
The Jefferson crib fits a standard crib mattress correct?
We ordered the Jefferson Nursery furniture from Buy Buy Baby in Springfield, Virginia and it was a nightmare. The furniture came in way past their quoted time, it came in damaged and Buy Buy Baby was very difficult to deal with trying to get the issues resolved. We left several messages for their customer service and are still waiting for replacements. Never again! I have come to the conclusion that Buy Buy Baby is set up to do registries but furniture is just not their thing. Good luck to the others who ordered this group from them.
We ordered the Jefferson Collection (everything) from Buy Buy Baby in Springfield and had a great experience. Love the furniture and the service there has always been exceptional.
I agree! My husband and I also purchased Munire nursery furniture from the Buy Buy Baby store in Springfield, VA. Our furniture is beautiful and the staff not only gave great service but were extremely knowledgeable.
My husband and I ordered the Jefferson crib a few weeks ago at Springfield, VA store even though it is back-ordered until late September/early October. I hope we don’t have an experience like you did. Everyone has given great service with honest answers so far. We will see what happens.
The Jefferson collection from BuyBuyBaby has been pulled from floors because the factory closed down. If you have not received your furniture, or need additional pieces you are not going to get them. I would count on getting a different set and returning what you have.
