The parent of Learning Curve/First Years, TOMY International, has snapped up Boon and Keen Distribution, the U.S. marketer of the Bumbo seat. Boon is probably best known for its Frog bath organizer, but the company has tried its luck with high chairs in recent years (the Flair) and various other kitchen gadgets for parents. Keen is the U.S. distributor for both the Bumbo seat and Gro baby sleepwear.
TOMY is best known for its toy line but has gone on a buying spree in recent years. In March 2011, TOMY bought Learning Curve and First Years. Learning Curve itself swallowed up Compass car seats, JJ Cole diaper bags among others.
