Is a Thule stroller worth it?
Yes.
Is a Thule stroller worth it? Yes, Thule strollers are worth the investment, in our opinion (we have spent the last 30 years researching and writing about baby gear—read more about us). Three reasons:
1. Overall quality and fit/finish. Known for jogging strollers like the Thule Urban Glide 2, Thule’s quality is among the best in class. Note how it only takes one hand to fold the stroller with the twist release on the handlebar. The springy wheel suspension is also excellent.
2. Air-filled tires. Yes, some so-called running strollers try to get away with foam-filled wheels—but air-filled tires on Thule’s jogging strollers are the best option for runners or hikers, since they are easier to push.
3. Resale value. Thanks to the brand’s popularity, Thule strollers can be resold at roughly 43% to 55% of their retail price after three years, based on our analysis. This assumes normal wear and tear. Thule has an excellent brand reputation for other outdoor gear, which gives their strollers a halo effect.
There have been two safety recalls on this brand in the past 20 years. Read more about Thule’s history on our sister site, StrollerWiki.

Do Thule strollers ever go on sale?
Yes.
Yes, Thule strollers do go on sale—at least two to three times per year. Here are the key sales:
1. Black Friday/Cyber Monday. We’ve seen Thule strollers discounted during Black Friday week. In November 2022, the Thule Urban Glide 2 was marked down 20% on Amazon.
2. Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale. Typically held every July, we’ve seen discounts of about 20% on some Thule models in years past. See sale details here. We’ve also seen Thule on sale during Nordstrom’s spring sales.
3. Thule Outlet. Thule’s own web site has a sale section that features various strollers accessories at discounts. During a recent visit, we saw a bassinet accessory for 38% off retail.
Are Thule strollers non toxic?
Unclear.
In 2015, Thule partnered with Bluesign, a Swiss-based environmental certification group. “We proactively eliminate environmentally harmful substances right at the start of the textile supply chain using Input Stream Management to minimize impacts on people and planet,” Bluesign explains on their site.
It is unclear if Thule’s strollers use fabric that is Bluesign-certified, however. Thule is silent on whether its stroller fabrics contain flame retardants, although it has emailed a statement to bloggers that it does not use these chemicals in the Thule Urban Glide 2.
How do you pronounce Thule?
Thule is pronounced “TOO-lee” in English, although the pronunciation in Swedish (Thule’s home country) may be slightly different.
