Readers of our past edition pay remember the Neat! Diaper Disposal system by Safety 1st (Dorel)—unfortunately, the product didn’t make it and is now discontinued.
But as owners of the Neat have discovered, Dorel has a nasty surprise for consumers—the pail’s proprietary refills are also discontinued. As one mom emailed us:
Those yahoos went and discontinued the pail, and now the inserts are all but impossible to find. Well, what about those folks who currently have the pail?! You wanna discontinue the pail, fine, but keep the refills crankin’ for a reasonable amount of time, like 2 years from the time of the pail’s discontinuation. Ugh! Just wanted to mention this for your ratings. Boo on them!
We agree—shame on Dorel for not supporting this product. Couldn’t the refills be sold on Dorel’s web site for at least a year or so?
