Stokke Tripp Trapp with infant attachmentWeb site: stokke.com

The Stokke Tripp Trapp is the revised version of the Kinderzeat, which we recommended in a previous edition. This $250 chair has a seat and footrest that adjusts to multiple positions— the result is you can use it from six months (once baby can sit up) to age eight or beyond. By the way, we’ve seen this chair online for as little as $200 for discontinued finishes.

The chair is also available in a bundle with the baby attachment rail, cushion and tray for $350 (see picture at right).

The downsides? Well, buying the plastic baby rail ($70), tray ($50) and seat cushion ($44) or purchasing the bundle ($350), pushes this high chair into the stratosphere making it a very pricey investment. Our view: the Tripp Trapp is probably best for older toddlers who have outgrown a regular high chair (as an alternative to a booster seat). The quality of the Stokke Tripp Trapp is excellent.
