The company claims this pump mimics Mother Nature better than other manual pumps, which have a suck-and-release action. Fans love the soft breast cup; dissenters say it isn’t as efficient as the Medela or Avent models. One online reviewer chimed in, saying “Simplisse must be French for many ridiculous steps for assembly and disassembly and miserable to clean.” Reviews from parents haven’t gotten any better since we last reviewed this pump, so we’ve lowered their rating even more.
