Best Modern Chair: Flash Furniture Mid-Back White LeatherSoft Executive Swivel Office Chair

We like this chair’s overall look and comfort. The “LeatherSoft” material is comfortable and the seat cushion provides decent support, at a price that doesn’t break the bank. Also nice: the padded armrests, a feature you don’t often see at this price point.

Here’s more:

What We Liked

• Easy to assemble.

• Padded arms.

• Dual wheel casters rolled smoothly.

• Chrome detailing looked sharp.

• Affordable.

What Needs Work

• Recline is only minimal.

• Some folks wished for more padding in the seat.

• Polyurethane material can get a bit hot in the summer. If airflow is important, consider this next pick with its mesh back.

Best White Office Chair For Petites: NEO CHAIR Office Chair

If you are on the smaller or shorter side, we’d recommend this chair: the NEO. The grey mesh back provides both support AND air flow—great if you have an office that can get warm in the summer. A nice surprise: this chair’s recline feature is better than others in this price point.

When we say petites, this chair would also work well for children or teens—anyone who isn’t six feet tall.

 Very nice back support.

• Mesh seat = good airflow.

• Recline features is excellent.

• Looks sharp.

• White arms and legs contrast nicely with grey seat cushion and mesh back.

What Needs Work

Best For Back Support: AmazonBasics High-Back Executive

This seat has two advantages over others we researched and tried out: more back support AND a wider seat. At 21″ wide, this seat is a couple of inches wider than others we evaluated for this article.

And the sculpted back support also impressed—it may be worth the extra expense, as this chair runs a bit more than others we researched in this category.

What We Liked

• Easy to assemble.

• Comfortable.

• High back = great for taller folks.

• Nice back support with sculpted padding.

• Weight capacity is 275 lbs.
