M.G. writes in today with a good question on Black Friday baby gear deals:

I was wondering what kinds of deals you have seen in the past for baby gear on Black Friday or Cyber Monday. I am wondering if I should wait to buy some bigger items if there might be big discounts on those days.

Good question—the answer is the baby retail biz doesn’t do much on Black Friday or Cyper Monday. Most sales on baby gear and other items occur in January and February.

That said, I’m sure some of the largest retailers (Buy Buy Baby and Babies R Us) will probably run some specials, but judging from year’s past, most will be on toys and other gift items.
