Australian bedding manufacturer Living Textiles has made a big splash in the U.S. market with their affordable all cotton bedding sets. Now they offer collections under three names: Living Textiles, Lolli Living and Poppi Living.

Living Textiles Baby is a muted, sophisticated bedding line which focuses unique fabric finishes like muslin, matelasse, velour, poplin and chenille. Instead of sets, the company sells this line as a la carte separates. Fitted sheets are 100% cotton jersey, with all around elastic and run $23 each (some sheets are cotton poplin, although most are jersey).

Matching blankets are available in a variety of fabrics (cotton muslin, chenille, and velour; $22 to $35). A muslin jacquard throw blanket is a bit more high end at $54. Comforters come with contrast stitching, matelasse quilting or pin tucking ($48 to $60). Some designs like the Paper Swans Coverlet have lovely applique detailing. Living Textiles Baby also makes dust ruffles, changing pad covers, crib rail covers and bumpers (we don’t recommend these).

Lolli Living crib bedding

Lolli Living’s Sparrow bedding has a wide range of accent pieces to coordinate with the four-piece sets.

Lolli Living is the brighter side of Living Textiles. The line is more whimsical with a modern take on penguins, elephants, flowers and airplanes to name a few (see photo). The centerpiece of the line is four-piece bedding sets for $200 (includes quilt, two fitted sheets, and a bed skirt).

These sets are made to coordinate with Lolli Livings other a la carte items so you can get different coordinating sheets and blankets to add to the basic set. They also offer some pretty cool mobiles ($67), wall decals ($21), stuffed toys ($30; not for use in a crib with an infant), crib rail cover ($50) and more. Again fabrics are 100% cotton with elastic only at the corners.

Poppi Living crib bedding set

At $50 to $70, Poppi Living offers affordable, all-cotton three piece bedding set.

Living Textiles has added to its lineup with the new Poppi Living brand. The style is still colorful like the Lolli Living line, but the patterns are less complex–basically just repeating graphics like the design in the photo. Price is the big selling point here: a three piece set retails for $70 ($50 at Walmart). These designs can be found at Kohl’s and Walmart.

Living Textiles Baby and Lolli Living have received great but limited feedback from readers. The consensus seems to be that the items are soft and wash well. We’d like to see all-around elastic on the Lolli line, for better fit. The new Poppi line is priced to compete with other low cost lines like My Baby Sam but we like the all cotton fabrics of the Poppi line–My Baby Sam uses poly-cottons. We’ll recommend these bedding brands. Rating: A-
